Just planted 25 myrtle shrubs around the front of the ashram, on either side of the front porch, and beside the junipers that yield berries. Both plants are a part of the ingredient list of a tea called Chief’s Blend, that is taken around sunset for peace and visions according to Native American stories.

Here are some other interesting stories about myrtle.
“She was standing with her locks wreathed with myrtle. She gave me a leaf and a few berries. Recovering them, I was sensible of the divine influence as well; the sky shone with greater brightness and all cares departed from my breast.” – Art of Love
